Celebrate Walk Your Pet Month with PPH

January is Walk Your Pet Month, and PPH is celebrating by hosting three group dog walks in and around our neighborhood in Gilbert. Join us at 10 am on the following Saturday mornings to enjoy a walk with your dog, meet neighbors and PPH clients and friends, and burn off some holiday calories. No special training is needed, and our invitation is extended to all interested dog lovers. Read on for specifics about these upcoming adventures!January 10th: We will meet at Priority Pet Hospital on the southwest corner of Queen Creek and Val Vista for a stroll through Vista del Oro and Vista Dorada. Depending upon our group’s size and enthusiasm level, we will pick from three routes of differing lengths. For those of you who can’t attend, we have created three suggested neighborhood routes of varying lengths—1, 2 1/2, and 5 miles—that you can view and print HERE.January 17th: We’ll meet at the main parking lot at the Chandler Veterans Oasis park on the northeast corner of Lindsay and Chandler Heights for a walk on the well-maintained trails winding their way around several ponds in this riparian preserve. In addition to the dog walk, there should be plenty of opportunities to view wintering waterfowl and other birds; don’t forget your field guides and binoculars!January 24th: Walk Your Pet Month wraps up with a joint effort by PPH and our friends at In the RAW, at Higley and Elliot in Gilbert. Following another lakeside stroll, In the RAW will sponsor a canine buffet. Funds raised at the buffet will support the Lost Our Home Pet Foundation. In the RAW will also be open to provide two-legged walkers with breakfast sandwiches and locally-roasted coffee, fresh smoothies, and other treats.
